About the Author
| Judi McMahon is the author of eight books by major publishers, as well as the writer of many magazine articles in such publications as New York Magazine, Redbook, Womanエs Day, Natural Health and La Official. She was a columnist and reporter in New York working for the Manhattan Weekly, Our Town (as its Entertainment Editor), and for ten years also wrote a restaurant review column called The Epicurean Explorer. Judi was also a features writer with the Newhouse daily newspaper, the Staten Island Advance and at another time was a reporter for the Catholic Weekly.
Judi moved to Tucson, Arizona with her daughter, Valentina, in August of 2001, where she continued to contribute health and beauty articles to Manhattan weeklies, and also began work on her own novelized memoir. This last published book is called Someone To Watch Over Me. It received excellent reviews. Judi did book signings at local Barnes & Noble stores, as well as appeared at THE ROUND TABLE WEST, a prestigious book club in California, where she appeared on the dais with famous writers like Ray Bradbury. Because the subject matter of Someone To Watch Over Me also covers overcoming alcoholism, it's in the Betty Ford Library.
